MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING (MADD)
GADA has partnered with the Georgia chapter of MADD since 2013. The MADD organization provides support for victims of drunk and impaired driving accidents and advocates for stronger laws to create a future of No More Victims®. MADD.org/Georgia

GADA is a statewide sponsor of MADD, and annually sponsors two of the biggest MADD events of the year:

  • Golden Shield Honors
    An awards banquet held every spring in Atlanta that recognizes the efforts of the Georgia law enforcement officers to end drunk and impaired driving and make Georgia’s roads safer.
    Mercedes Benz Stadium 5K/Walk Like MADD
    This 5K event is held every fall at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. A joint venture hosted by MADD, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and the Atlanta Track Club, the 5K draws thousands of participants. It is is MADD of Georgia’s largest fundraising event and a fun experience, with runners getting to finish the race on the Falcons’ 50-yard line.

GEORGIA GOAL Scholarship Fund
GADA has partnered with GEORGIA GOAL since 2014. The GEORGIA GOAL program, established in 2008, provides scholarship opportunities to K-12 Georgia students so they can obtain the best education possible. Throughout its partnership, the GADA-GOAL Scholarship Fund has helped a total of 24 Georgia students achieve their highest education goals. GoalScholarship.org

GADA-GOAL Scholarship Fund achievements to date:

  • ➢ 9 scholarships awarded to students during the 2019-2020 school year.
  • ➢ 77 total scholarships awarded to students since 2014.
